Marc Middleton to Make Florida Tech Commencement Address May 18

MELBOURNE, FLA.—Orlando-area TV celebrity Marc Middleton will deliver the annual commencement address for Florida Institute of Technology’s Orlando graduate center in Baldwin Park on May 18. About 40 students will graduate with master’s degrees in a commencement ceremony that evening.

Middleton is founder and CEO of Bolder Broadcasting, parent company of Growing Bolder, Bolder Health and Bolder Media Group. The latter is a web-based media group that creates active lifestyle content for the 50-plus demographic, worldwide. He hosts the Growing Bolder TV show on PBS stations nationwide, including Orlando’s WMFE.

He is the author of Rock Stars of Aging, 50 Ways to Live to 100 and Lifestyle Secrets of Centenarians, and is a featured blogger on the Huffington Post. He is also a multi-world record holder in masters swimming and track & field.

Middleton formerly was a news and sports anchor at WESH-TV in Orlando and was a TV personality in Phoenix, Ariz. He has been honored with two Southeast Regional Emmy Awards and is a four-time Emmy nominee.
