March 13 Sporting Affair Features First-Time Womens Tennis Tournament

MELBOURNE, FLA. — The newest addition to Florida Institute of Technology’s annual Sporting Affair is a Women’s Round-Robin Tennis Tournament. Sporting Affair
XVII is on March 13 at Suntree Country Club in Melbourne; the tennis tournament begins there at 11 a.m.

The tennis tournament’s “Ace in the Hole” tennis package costs $100 and includes tournament entry fee for one, one Tennis Mulligan and one Chopper Dropper
ticket ($50 value), which admits two to the Sporting Affair Cocktail Reception, following the tennis tournament. The Chopper Dropper entry includes dinner,
wine and beer at the reception, a live auction and a chance to win $25,000 or other cash prizes.

In the Chopper Dropper event a helicopter rains down numbered golf balls onto the course near the clubhouse. The ball that is closest to the pin/flag wins
$25,000; second closest wins $10,000; and third, $5,000. Also, 10 runner-up prizes of $1,000 each will be awarded.

Sporting Affair XVII also includes a golf tournament with a $1 Million Hole-in-One Shootout. Donations for all events go toward athletics scholarships.
