Oglesby Elected to the Brevard Business Leadership Network

MELBOURNE, FLA.— Joni F. Oglesby, Ph.D., SPHR, associate vice president for Human Resources at Florida Institute of Technology, was recently elected to the board of directors of the Brevard Business Leadership Network (Brevard BLN), a non-profit employment agency dedicated to expanding the career opportunities for adults with special needs. Florida Tech has partnered with the Brevard BLN to establish the Ability-Focused Teaching and Training [through] Education [and] Resources, AFTTER Program to provide on the job training opportunities for individual with special needs.

“Joni has been a tremendous asset to the BLN board of directors. Her HR background has brought a new dimension to the board. She is a great visionary and her enthusiasm is contagious,” said Ken Whittaker, Brevard BLN chairman of the board.

“I am so thrilled to have Joni on our board and very excited about working with her and the Florida Tech staff,” said Betsy Farmer, Brevard BLN executive director. “The on the job training sites that have been established at Florida Tech for our clients have provided an amazing opportunity for hands-on work experience.”
