MEDIA ADVISORY: Florida Tech Plans Announcement of Major Gift

Significant donation will be revealed Monday, March 31, 4 p.m.

WHAT: Florida Institute of Technology will announce the first major gift since the $100 million Create the Future campaign publicly launched in January.

WHO: Dr. Anthony J. Catanese, President and CEO, Florida Tech

MORE: The $100 million “Create the Future” campaign is the university’s largest-ever fundraising drive. Campaign priorities begin with enriching Florida Tech’s endowment, which now stands at $60 million. The endowment funds priorities like scholarships for the top students who need financial help and endowed chairs for the top professors in the world. Other goals are to secure a new facility for the Bisk College of Business, better equip the Vero Beach Marine Laboratory and recreate the Anchorage in Melbourne a world-class rowing facility and major resource for ongoing environmental research.
