Florida Tech’s Lifelong Scholar Society Offers New Annual Membership Program

MELBOURNE, FLA.—The Florida Institute of Technology Lifelong Scholar Society announces a new yearly membership program for only $35. Benefits of becoming a member include a reduced member price for lectures of $10, three dinners at the Panther Dining Hall with professors and other members (one per semester), a customized name tag, and the option to bring a guest for their first lecture for the member rate of $10. Membership must be renewed yearly in order to maintain membership status.

The Lifelong Scholar Society, which began in spring 2013, is growing each semester. This semester’s lectures will take place in either the Harris Community Auditorium or the Knowledge Exchange in Palm Bay. Lecture topics include space exploration and World War II, to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the war. In addition, the Lifelong Scholar Society will take a trip to Europe in May with professors Robert Taylor and Matthew Ruane guiding a tour of historic World War II sites.
