Florida Tech Celebrates Homecoming Nov. 3-6; Many Activities Open to Community

MELBOURNE, FLA.—Florida Institute of Technology welcomes everyone to join alumni, faculty, staff and students as they celebrate Homecoming 2010 Nov. 3-6, “Surf’s Up.”

The following Homecoming 2010 events of special interest are open to the community and are free unless noted:

Wednesday,Nov. 3

5-8 p.m. Kick-off Event: Battle of the Bands – Residence Quad

Thursday,Nov. 4

5:30-6:30 p.m. Alumni & Student Social- Rathskeller

6:30-8:30 p.m. Talent/Lip Sync Show- Panthereum

Friday, Nov. 5

4-7 p.m. Hang 10 Pep Rally & Wave Wars – Southgate Field

7:30-9 p.m. Reunion/Alumni Happy Hour-Chart House Dock (Cash bar; drink specials for alumni)

8-10 p.m. College Players’ Fall Production – Gleason Performing Arts Center (Cost)

9-11 p.m. Ice Hockey Game – Space Coast Iceplex, Rockledge
(Cost)

Saturday, Nov. 6

9 a.m.-4 p.m. FIT Aviation and ROTC Day – Buehler Center

11 a.m.-noon Homecoming Parade

Noon-1 p.m. Homecoming and Reunion Barbecue- Panther Plaza and Panthereum

1-3 p.m. Athletics Alumni Softball Game

2 p.m. Campus Tour – meet in front of the Jerome Keuper Administration Building

2-4 p.m. An Afternoon of Entertainment – Panther Plaza and Panthereum

6:30 p.m. Alumni Association Cocktail Party and Banquet (Cost)

8-11 p.m. Homecoming Concert performed by MUTEMATH –Southgate Field

The Alumni Association Cocktail Partyand Banquet in the newly completed Panther Dining Hall on Nov. 6 starts at 6:30 p.m. and is $50 per person.
