5K Run Is Open to the Community, Offers Prizes

MELBOURNE, FLA. — Do your stretches and put on your running shoes. It’s time for the Third Annual Florida Tech 5K Run (formerly the Alumni Homecoming 5K).
The run, open to the community will be on Saturday, Feb. 17, starting at 8 a.m. in front of the Clemente Center for Sports and Recreation on University
Blvd. The event is hosted by Florida Tech’s men’s and women’s cross country teams.
Prizes will be awarded in the categories of Florida Tech faculty or staff, student and alumnus; overall male and female; and in age groups. Other
highlights include post-race refreshments and door prizes that include two pairs of new running shoes from Brooks Sports. Walkers may also
participate.
