New and Exciting Innovation for Employer Day!

It’s thrilling, innovative, and intelligent! It’s also completely FREE!!
What is this magical thing I speak of? It is our new Career Fair + App! The app is free and available for Android Devices on the Google Play store. This app is designed to help navigate through our Spring Employer day and offers some really neat features.
The designers let me play around with it to make sure that everything worked ok. Quite frankly there is only one other person in this office that would have been a better test subject. I’m not computer illiterate, but I’m new to “smart” technology and the world of apps.
It took only a few seconds for me to figure it out-everything is so streamlined. On the first page that comes up you can choose to look at the floor plan for the fair, look up companies and what they are looking for, see announcements, and get some tips and tricks on preparing for Employer Day.
To me the best feature of this app is the “Favorites” feature. It allows you to star the employers that you want to talk to, and if you select ‘favorites’ on the floor plan a star will appear next to the tables that you want to go talk to! Hopefully this will prevent students from circling and circling trying to find the employers you want to speak to.
Bonus feature? If you are stuck standing in a line and realize that there is an employer looking for your major you didn’t know about before, the ‘All Companies’ feature allows you to look up that company and even links to the company home page so you can do some background research while in line.

Delicia’s workshops on preparing for the Employer Day are the 6th at 10:00am and the 7th at 3:30pm, both in the Commons building room 340. She has some juicy tips and tricks that she is happy to share with everyone. If this is your first Employer Day/Career Fair I HIGHLY recommend going to one of these workshops! Don’t forget to register for the events in Panther Career Link. We LOVE seeing people sign up! It lets us know how much candy to bring.
