New Manager of Visitor Services Joins Ruth Funk Center

MELBOURNE, FLA.—Donna Jo Sewell is the new manager, Visitor Services, for the Ruth Funk Center for Textile Arts at Florida Institute of Technology.

She will oversee visitor operations for the Ruth Funk Center and ensure quality service is being offered and maintained for the public. In this capacity, she will manage the Center’s volunteer program, gift shop and reception desk. Sewell reports to Assistant Director Keidra Navaroli and Director of University Museums Carla Funk.

“Donna brings a wealth of expertise to the Funk Center. She offers a perspective that we are excited to integrate into the visitor experience,” said Navaroli.

Sewell earned a bachelor of arts degree in English from the University of Florida and has over 15 years of teaching experience. Most recently, she worked as an English instructor for ELS Melbourne on Florida Tech’s campus. She was also a charter member of the Funk Center’s docent program, volunteering 2010 through 2011.
