New MIS Course

MIS (Management Information Systems) Senior Project is a new course in the School of Management (SoM) that will be offered in spring 2004, according to Dr.
Judith Barlow, associate professor of management information systems and associate editor the journal Informing Science. Dr. Barlow will teach the new
course, BUS 4583. Senior MIS majors will work in teams to design and build information systems for real clients on the Florida Tech campus. The student
teams will meet with their clients to identify their needs and then use structured design methods to build software solutions. Projects for this new course
include: -Redesign of the SoM website. -A Document Management System to manage a new School of Management document database. -A web-based application for
SoM alumni. -A new dynamic website for Habitat for Humanity.
