Novelty Percussion Group to Perform at Florida Tech

– Bing Bang, a group of percussionists from Central Middle School and Melbourne High School, who make rhythm and music with anything available, will
perform on Saturday, April 10 at 6 p.m. They will be at Florida Tech’s Gleason Performing Arts Center, playing new arrangements of licensed musical works
and original works. Bing Bang makes music with balloons, kitchen utensils and more.

Group director and musician, KB van Oene, is an accomplished percussionist and percussion clinician for Central Middle School and Melbourne High School.
She is also office coordinator for the Florida Tech Department of Civil Engineering.

Leading the non-traditional percussion ensemble of 20, van Oene showcases Bing Bang’s talents to help to raise money for needed traditional percussion
instruments for the middle school and high school.

Admission to this performance, presented by the Campus Activities Board, is $5. The Gleason Performing Arts Center is located at the corner of Babcock St.
and University Blvd.
