Ocean Institute Scientist Presents Next InSTEP Lecture on Vision in the Deep

MELBOURNE, FLA. — Scientist Tamara Frank, of the Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute, will present the ocean discovery seminar “Vision in the Deep: How Do
They See Light?” on Sept. 23 at 7 p.m. The lecture will be in the Satellite High School auditorium. Part of Florida Tech’s Integrated Science Teaching
Enhancement Partnership (InSTEP) program, the talk is free and open to the public.

InSTEP is funded by two grants totaling nearly $3.4 million to Florida Tech from the National Science Foundation. The program enables university graduate
students and faculty to work with high school science teachers in Brevard County public schools to develop inquiry-based lesson plans.
