MELBOURNE, FLA. Florida Institute of Technology seeks people who are interested in volunteering at the new Ruth Funk Center for Textile Arts. A volunteer reception and orientation is planned for Friday, Oct. 16 at 3 p.m. at the center on campus. Those attending the orientation are invited to stay for a free Open House Gallery Talk at 4 p.m. by Ruth Funk, featured artist and museum benefactor. Also, Funk will lead a special tour of the current exhibit, “Coat Couture: Inspiration to Creation.” The exhibit offers extended hours this day, 4 to 6 p.m.
