Pro Tennis Tournament Nets $35,000 for Scott Center Aces for Autism

MELBOURNE, FLA.—The Florida Beer Company Pro Tennis Tournament generated $35,000 for the Scott Center for Autism Treatment at Florida Institute of Technology. The event was held recently at the Kiwi Tennis Club.

The fundraiser supports the Aces for Autism program started by Florida Tech Tennis coach Bill Macom. “Aces” offsets the cost of the classes on social skills for children on the autism spectrum, ages 5-14.

Sponsors included the hosting Kiwi Tennis Club, title sponsor Florida Beer Company, presenting sponsor Revolution Technologies, Sutton Properties, PepsiCo, Florida Tech, Florida Today, USTA and McBride Marketing. Also, Genna Jewelers donated a watch and sterling silver dog tags for the winners; IM Solutions donated the digital display and sound system; Lenny Velardi; Surf Studio; Hilton Oceanfront Melbourne; Sorensen Allied Moving and Storage; and Amelia Woodbridge.

During the 10-day tennis tournament, an Aces for Autism free tennis clinic was held for 40 families with children on the autism spectrum, ages 5-14.
