MELBOURNE, Fla. (Women’s Basketball) – The most recent installment of the USA Today ESPN Top 25 Women’s Basketball Poll was
released this week and it showed good news for the Florida Tech Panthers.   The Panthers have moved up to 20th in the poll from
23rd last week. In the preseason, Florida Tech was voted 25th by the 29 Division II head coaches across the nation who vote in the

start playing up to that, it won’t really matter.”   Florida Tech moves up to 20th  thanks to a 5-1 record. The Panthers have
registered four wins at home and are 2-1 on the road, Their most recent win came in Miami Gardens, Fla. against the Lions of Florida Memorial University.

Heminger
leads the team in points, averaging 17.2 per game. Freshman guard Lynisha Nelson is second on the
team with 10 points per game but
leads the team in assists (32) and steals (16). Senior forward Casselle Russell joins Heminger
in leading the team in rebounds with 29 on the season for both players.
