Panthers Fall 1-0 in Final Home Match 1-0 Against #18 Saint Leo

MELBOURNE, Fla. — The Florida Tech Panthers ( 7-4-4, 2-2-3) finish off their home play falling 1-0 against nationally ranked Saint Leo (12-2-1, 5-2) at the
Rick Stottler Field this afternoon.

The Panthers were unable to score against the conference foe Saint Leo with Tech notching only two shots on goal of the six shots taken for the game. The
Lions lone goal and game winner came at the 23rd minute when sophomore Evelina Viiri (Heby, Sweden) launched a ball over the Panther wall netting it in the
upper left corner. Viiri took sole credit off the free kick for the Lions.

Despite the one goal, freshman keeper Melissa Pyles (Port Orange, Fla.) faced 13 shots and 10 shots on goal for the contest. Pyles had eight saves and
suffered the loss with a 6-4-2 record.

Florida Tech will be back in action on Saturday, October 21st facing Nova Southeastern down in Ft. Lauderdale at 7:00 p.m. wrapping up their regular season
play.
