Panthers Fall in the Battle of the Cats 3-0

MELBOURNE, Fla. (volleyball)- The Florida Tech Panthers (2-29, 0-15) succumb to Sunshine State Conference rivals Saint Leo Lions (21-9, 8-7) in three
straight sets. The Panthers put up a solid battle of the cats with Saint Leo, once again, proving that the Lion is the true king of the conference jungle
winning each game 30-21, 30-26 and 30-18.

Despite the loss, in game two Florida Tech came back from a seven point deficit with the scoreboard reading 29-19 with freshman libero Melissa Reinders
(Orlando, Fla.) serving eight straight points with two aces.
Reinders led all players defensively with 15 digs for the night.

Junior middle blocker Lindsay Foster (Titusville, Fla.) hit .500 for the crimson and gray squad with no errors on the match. Senior outside hitter Megan
Konopnicki (Plano, Tex.) led Tech with nine kills and chipped in seven digs. Fellow senior middle hitter Jenny McCoy (Titusville, Fla.) added six kills

Reinders finished with four service aces while Foster had two blocks.

Saturday, November 4th will be the final game of the year for Florida Tech when the host SSC opponent Eckerd College at 7:00 p.m. Two seniors will be
honored in a pre-match ceremony including Konopnicki and McCoy.
