Panthers Hook Sailfish 68-40 in Second Meeting of the Season

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (women’s basketball)- Five Panthers score in the double figures to take down the Palm Beach Atlantic Sailfish (1-3) 68-40 at the
Rubin Arena. For the second time this month, Florida Tech (3-1) was able to shut down their NCAA II South Regional opponents taking them 64-55 at the
Clemente Center on the November 15th in their season opener.

Senior guard Jen Tamilio (Salem, Mass.) led all scorers with 14 points going a perfect 2-for-2 from the three-point perimeter and 4-for-4 from the line.
She added two assists, three steals and three rebounds for the night.
Junior forward newcomer Kristin Heminger (Merritt Island, Fla.) led from the field hitting 6-out-of-the-10 for Tech notching 12 points. Heminger also added
five boards.

Coming off the bench, senior guard Danielle Vaughn (Tallahassee, Fla.) pitched in 11 points. Senior center Danise Fequiere (Miami, Fla.) and junior forward
Kassi Crimi (Jordan, Minn.) each added 10 points. Starting center Fequiere pulled off a perfect 8-for-8 from the charity stripe while 6th man player Crimi
was unblemished from the field hitting 5-for-5 from the field. Crimi grabbed a career first finishing perfect from the field while pulling down her season
high 5 rebounds.

Defensively, sophomore starting forward Sabrina Jones (Orlando, Fla.) led inside with seven rebounds.

Both teams were on at the line with Tech shooting an amazing 90% from the charity stripe. The Panthers took advantage of their game making 23 points off of
turnovers by the Sailfish along with 28 points off of second chance shots.

Florida Tech will be back in action after the Thanksgiving holiday hosting Puerto Rico Mayaguez and Puerto Rico Rio Piedras the 24th and 25th respectively
