Panthers Knot with Barry in Scoreless SSC Double Overtime

MELBOURNE, Fla. (women’s soccer)- Despite one-hundred and ten minutes of conference play neither Florida Tech (3-2-3, 0-0-2) nor Barry (1-4-1, 0-0-1) were
unable to break each others back lines. The Panthers despite the tie did accomplish a program first having held the Barry Bucs to a non-loss on the
Panthers side.

The Panthers also proved to be the first Sunshine State Conference team to shut down Barry since 1998, not allowing the Buccaneers one goal in the regular
season match.

Tech attempted eight shots with only one on goal that came from freshman Therese Svensson (Helsingborg, Sweden). Barry also had eight shots with two on
goal against fellow freshman keeper Melissa Pyles (Port Orange, Fla.).

Pyles notched her third shut-out including one combined effort for a shared shut-out. Tech will be back in action on Monday when they travel South to play
St. Thomas University at 4:00 p.m.
