Phantom Films Wins State Award for Florida Tech Campaign Video

MELBOURNE, FLA.–Phantom Films of Florida, a Brevard County-based media and television production company has earned a Crystal Reel Award for producing the video to kick off the Golden Anniversary Campaign for Florida Tech. Barry Eager, Phantom Films owner, produced and directed the nine–minute video with creative support from Jay Wilson, Florida Tech senior director of university communications.

“This video, using new footage and archival footage dating back to Florida Tech’s first decade makes an eloquent case for supporting our ongoing capital campaign,” said Wilson. “Barry’s talent and enthusiasm are evident from beginning to end.”

The award was received at the 18th Annual Crystal Reel Awards, held in Palm City, Fla., in October. The awards were created in the 1980s by the Florida Motion Picture and Television Association to honor outstanding achievement in the motion picture, television, recording and digital media industries in Florida.

Eager is a board member of the Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA) and a member of Space Coast Advertising Federation, Florida Motion Picture and Television Association. He is the recipient of previous Crystal Reel Awards as well as an American Advertising Federation ADDY Award and FPRA Golden Image Award. He earned a Florida Tech bachelor’s degree in aviation management and is a resident of Indialantic.

Florida Tech’s campaign runs through September 2009.
