Pressing Print Demands Attention at Foosaner Art Museum, May 25 to Aug. 4

MELBOURNE, FLA.—From May 25 to Aug. 4, the Florida Institute of Technology Foosaner Art Museum will exhibit Pressing Print, featuring 50 works of art from Universal Limited Art Editions (ULAE), an American printmaking workshop. Organized by the Syracuse University Art Galleries, the exhibition demonstrates ULAE’s role as an exceptional and transformative force in contemporary art.

Pressing Print highlights the recent decade of print works created by 20th Century American Art masters such as Jasper Johns, Robert Rauschenberg and Helen Frankenthaler; and emerging artists Zachary Wollard, Amy Cutler and Tam Van Tran. The artists were selected to collaborate at ULAE under the direction of Master Printer Bill Goldston.

With an emphasis on experimentation, the artists and printmakers were given total freedom to realize their work. The artists have mixed new techniques, such as pigmented inkjet printing and dimensional construction with traditional printmaking techniques.

The Foosaner Art Museum is located at 1463 Highland Ave. in the Eau Gallie Arts District of Melbourne. It is open Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., except Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Sundays from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. General admission is $5 for adults, $2 for children and students with ID and free on Thursdays and always for Florida Tech faculty, staff and students with their ID. Call (321) 674-8916, or visit, for more information.
