Psycho-Cinema Presents Rainman

– On Friday, Aug. 19, Florida Tech’s film discussion series, Psycho-Cinema: Psychology and the Movies, will present Rainman at 7 p.m., starring
Dustin Hoffman and Tom Cruise. The movie and subsequent discussion will take place in the Evans Library, Room P-133
(separate entrance on side of library).

Rainman took 1988 Oscar honors for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Screenplay and Best Actor (Dustin Hoffman as an autistic savant). Cruise plays his
hot-shot, materialistic brother.

Florida Tech School of Psychology faculty members Dr. Thomas Peake and Dr. James Oelschlager, Gene Shepherd
M.D. and doctoral students, James Ferro and Ron Daugherty will be on hand to lead a discussion with the audience. The movie and refreshments are free.
