Psychology Researcher Seeks Survey Respondents for Military Combat Recovery Research

MELBOURNE, FLA. — Florida Tech clinical psychology graduate student Elizabeth Burns, M.S., is conducting research on combat veteran couples’ adjustment with
a 10-15-minute online survey. The survey may be completed by the partner or spouse of a combat veteran; if both partners are combat veterans, both can
complete the survey.

“The study will evaluate the demographics and other variables related to a couple’s adjustment after deployment. We hope to identify more factors related
to combat veterans’ romantic relationships,” said Burns.

The information gathered by the study may contribute to the research guiding new treatments in couple therapy.

Burns is completing her doctoral degree under Florida Tech Professor Richard Elmore Jr., Ph.D. For more information, contact Burns at echadwic@fit.edu.
