Registration Now Open for New Term of Foosaner Art Museum Winter Art Classes

MELBOURNE, FLA.—Registration is now available online for the new winter term of art classes and workshops at the Renee Foosaner Education Center of Florida Institute of Technology. The new term starts the week of Jan. 14 and ends March 7, 2014. Upcoming workshops include “Mythical Animals: A Ceramics Workshop with Cheryl Tall” Jan. 24 and 25, and a 3-day “Introduction to Pâte de Verre” Feb. 19-21. The workshops are two- to three-day classes; the rest of the classes run eight weeks.

Classes are held Monday through Friday throughout the day and evening. In addition to time spent in class, current students are given nine hours of supervised “open studio” time per week to finish projects and to further engage. Several types of classes are available for adults and children, including a homeschool art group, lampworking, pottery, sculpture, figure drawing, printmaking and gestural acrylic painting.

From now through Dec. 15, students who sign up for classes will receive an early-registration discount of $20 per class. Pre-registration is required for all classes and workshops. Details, schedules and prices can be found on the Foosaner Art Museum’s website under “classes.” Brochures will be available to pick-up at the Renee Foosaner Education Center’s art activities and information booth during ArtWorks art festival, Nov. 23 and 24.
