SAM Spring Events
The College of Business chapter of SAM, the Society for Advancement of Management, has a variety of events lined up to keep its members on the go during
spring semester. The Business Ethics Luncheon is on the calendar for March 2 at 12:30 in the College of Business conference room. This luncheon gives
students the opportunity to discuss ethical issues in the business world with professionals in the local community. The luncheon is an open forum to
encourage students to ask questions about any business-related topics. Plus, the lunch is free. Dean A.Thomas Hollingsworth and Tom Stauffacher, director
of Industry Education, also attend the meetings. If youre interested or have a local business professional or ethical issue in mind, contact SAM president
Priscilla Arteaga at parteaga@fit.edu. Two other SAM events coming up are the ninth annual Spring Ball and the International Business Conference. The
semi-formal dinner dance is on Friday April 1 at 6 p.m. in the Hartley Room in the Denius Student Center. Tickets will go on sale in March. Want to get
your favorite song on the DJ list? Contact Priscilla Arteaga. And right after the Spring Ball, SAM Club members will be heading to Las Vegas for the 2005
International Business Conference April 3-6. If you’re interested in competing or learning more about the conference contact SAM Club faculty adviser Dr.
Michael Slotkin at mslotkin@fit.edu.
