Jazz Emsemble to Perform Favorite April 23

MELBOURNE, FLA.—Florida Institute of Technology’s Jazz Ensemble will perform in concert Friday, April 23, at 7 p.m. in the university’s Gleason Performing Arts Center. Admission is free and the public is welcome to this event presented by the Department of Humanities and Communication.

The popular Florida Tech Big Band, Panther Jazz, will perform sizzling soul, jazz and funk favorites.

Jamie Younkin, assistant professor music and music program director in the Department of Humanities and Communication, is leading the enrichment of the university through her initiation of several new music programs. She earned a doctoral degree in musicology from the University of Toronto.
