Seventy Students Complete Florida Tech Leadership Training
MELBOURNE, FLA. — Seventy students recently completed a Florida Tech leadership program, which the university launched this fall. The program, called FUTURES
(Fun, Unique, Talented, Understanding, Responsible, Excited Students), is designed to foster success and leadership during the university experience.
“Students who participate in this program will be better prepared to achieve success and become fully immersed in the university’s activities and
leadership opportunities,” said Sara Mayer, assistant dean for student activities.
Participants received a full day of training. An outside facilitator from Dartmouth College led large group sessions; current Florida Tech students known
for their campus leadership led the small group sessions.
