Take a bow, Dr. Patton, Dr. Pierce

Applause, applause!! Congratulations to the School of Management’s own Dr. John R. Patton on observing his 15th anniversary at Florida Tech! And to SoM
associate dean Dr. Barbara Pierce for her fifth anniversary at Florida Tech. Dr. Patton, associate professor of management and director of the Spaceport
Education Center, and Dr. Pierce, associate professor of accounting, and a number of their campus colleagues have been honored by the University Hard Work
and loyalty to Florida Tech. A reception is planned for them on February 18, 2005, in Gleason Auditorium. Dr. Patton teaches marketing principles,
organizational behavior and international business. His research has made him a frequent contributor to international conferences, particularly in Asia.
Dr. Pierce is president-elect of the Florida Institute of CPAs. Her research interests include earnings forecasts and analysts forecasts; integrating
technology in the accounting classroom; and incorporating distance learning and web enhancements into the accounting curriculum. Okay, Dr. Patton, now it’s
15 years and counting. Take note, Dr. Pierce, he’s set the standard for you. Just hang in there.
