Take a Swing at Supporting Florida Tech Programs in Tournament

MELBOURNE, FLA. — From duffers to pros, all will be welcome at the Florida Tech Fall Homecoming Golf Tournament, Friday, Oct. 13, starting at 8 a.m. The
tournament, set for the Duran Golf Club in Viera, will pit College of Engineering (COE) teams against Department of Athletics teams. Proceeds will fund the
university’s Men’s Golf Program and COE programs, such as endowments for senior design projects, faculty chairs and graduate studies.
Anyone can be on a team that supports either Florida Tech “faction.” The entry fee of $100 per person includes greens fee and carts. The event includes
free range balls beginning at 7 a.m., a continental breakfast and lunch.
Awards, to be presented at noon, will go to the top three teams, for the ball closest to the pin and for the longest drive. A putting contest continues all
day.
The entry deadline is Oct. 11. For more information, or to register, contact Kevin Abergel at (321) 674-6220 or at kabergel@fit.edu. Sign up online at
