Tech Shutout by Nova Southeastern

MELBOURNE, FLA. (volleyball) – The Panthers hosted the Nova Southeastern Sharks at the Clemente Center and lost in three games; the game scores were 30-20,
30-17, and 30-21. Tech is still searching for their first win in the conference as they travel to Florida Southern next for their last away match on the
year.

Game one showed the Panthers trying to rally back being down early but could only charge back within ten points to finish the game 30-20. Game two showed
the Panthers taking charge early as they led serving for their 12th point. The Panthers looked like they would take game two but eventually the Sharks
rallied back taking game two 30-17.

Game three was a challenge for the Panthers as they repeatedly tried to rally back from the early deficit. Tech eventually rallied within three points but
the Sharks were too much as they rallied to a nine point lead and took game three 30-21.

Match highs for the Panthers came from senior Jenny McCoy (Titusville, Fla.) with 8 kills while fellow senior teammate Megan Konopnicki (Plano, Tex.)
contributed 6 kills on the match. Outside hitter Frankie Brown (Panama City, Fla.) and middle blocker Lindsay Foster (Titusville, Fla.) each contributed 5
kills a piece.

Defensively the Panthers were led by Melissa Reinders (Orlando, Fla.) with 12 digs on the night. Konopnicki had a total of 8 digs while Amanda Boyce
(Madison, WI) totaled 7 digs. Boyce also contributed to the team with a team high of 18 assists.

The Panthers are still battling out the storm as the season comes to a close. Tech record is now 2-27 overall and 0-13 in the SSC They next will travel to
Florida Southern to take on the Mocs on Saturday, October 28th at 7 pm.
