Tech Volleyball Inks Seven New Athletes for 2007

Melbourne, Fl. — As the heat of summer sets upon Florida, Head Coach Qi Wang and Florida Tech Volleyball announced that seven new student
athlete’s will be joining the squad for the 2007 season. Amy O’Brien, Aurora Jover, Brigett Brandjes, Mayne Pegorari, Marcela Vasconcelos, Sacha Gumbs, and
Whitney Roberts have committed to join the Panthers squad in the fall of 2007. The group will be among eight returning panthers in 2007.

The seven new Panther Volleyball Players goes as follows:
Amy O’Brien, Holiday, FL. Florida Community College of Jacksonville. Amy, a 5-8 L/DS.
Aurora Jover, Weston, FL. Florida Community College of Jacksonville. Aurora, a 5-10 setter.
Brigett Brandjes, Palm Beach, FL, Royal Palm Beach High School. Brigett, a 5-7 DS and Setter.
Mayne Pegorari, native of Brazil, Barton County Community College. Mayne, a 6-0 hitter.
Marcela Vasconcelos, native of Brazil, Palm Beach Community College, Marcela, a 5-9 setter.
Sacha Gumbs, St. Thomas, Virgin Island, Palm Beach Community College, a 5-11 hitter.
Whitney Roberts, Tallahassee, FL, North Florida Christian, a 6-0 hitter.

Head Coach Qi Wang stated: “We are expecting that all incoming athletes along with the returnees, that everyone will work extremely
hard in order to compete in the Sunshine State Conference and put Tech volleyball back on the map.”

The Panther kickoff the 2007 season with a tournament at Augusta, GA on August 24th and 25th.
