Richardson Leads Panthers to Knock Out the Fighting Knights 68-59

BOCA RATON, Fla. (women’s absketball) — The Florida Tech Panthers were not going into tonight’s game with an repeat performance of Monday night prior to the
game the #2 NCAA South Regional Ranked Tech were ready to play their game.
Reynolds seem to find a starting line up on the court in junior guard McKena Richardson (Quartz Hill, Cal.), senior guard Jen Tamilio (Boston, Mass.),
senior guard Kristi Harrell (Melbourne, Fla.), junior forward Kristin Heminger (Merritt Island, Fla.) and junior forward Kassie Crimi (Jordan, Minn.).

Richardson came up the big winner for Tech leading all scorers with a season high 17 points hitting 5-for-14 from the field and adding two steals and four
boards. She was part of all four fast coast to coast lay-ups for Tech garnishing the much needed spark missing in last years one point loss down at the de
Hoernle Center.

Sunshine State Conference Player of the Week Tamilio was not far behind finishing with 16 points, four rebounds and two assists. In the second half, Senior
Danise Fequiere (Miami, Fla.) made an immediate impact after coming in off the bench with nine pints and six rebounds. Fequiere did a consistent job at
drawing the fouls inside and went 7-for-9 from the line improving her already stellar free throw percentage at .818 which tops Tech.

Heminger along with junior key reservists senior Danielle Vaughn (Tallahassee, Fla.) combined for 16 points and 14 rebounds. Heminger led the crimson and
gray Hoopsters under the boards with eight rebounds.

Lynn also had two players score in the double figures. Sophomore guard Jade Williams (Orlando, Fla.) had 16 points and seven assists while senior Sarah
Mahan (Oxford, Mass.) pitched in 15 points and nine rebounds.

The Panthers out rebounded Lynn 47 to 37 for the conference event, while despite Tech spreading out the scoring they finished with a 34.4% from the field.

Florida Tech continues to top the Sunshine State Conference with a 16-4 overall record and 8-2 in the SSC. Currently the Panthers are still receiving votes
in the WBCA Top 25 Poll grabbing 26 votes this past week. Lynn falls to 11-8 for the season and 3-5 in
the Sunshine State.

Tech will be hosting Florida Southern in another SSC double header on Saturday, February 3rd with the women tipping off at 2:00 p.m. Both games can be
