Three Baseball Players Named to 2007 All-SSC Baseball Teams & One to All-South Daktronics Team

ORLANDO, Fla. – The All-SSC was announced on Wednesday, May 16th with three of Florida Tech Baseball Players being represented. Senior shortstop Steve Condotta (Mississauga, Ontario) ends his
collegiate career on a high note being elected to the All-SSC first team and being elected to the Daktronics All-South Region Team. Sophomore pitcher
Mike Piazza (Pt. St. Lucie, Fla.) was
elected to the All-SSC second team while sophomore third basemen Eric Trillas (Hialeah, Fla.) received Honorable
Mention honors.

The senior shortstop Condotta for the year finished with a batting average of .431 which is 3rd best in the SSC and 33rd in the nation; he is ranked 6th in
the conference totaling 81 hits; he also ended in a three way tie in 1st with six sacrifice fly’s, and sits in first alone with 42 stolen bases which is
8th in the nation. Steve has also crossed the plate scoring 50 times and has a total of 50 RBI; he has also totaled 11 doubles, two triples, and four
homeruns. Steve now holds a total of five single season and career records at Florida Tech starting with 42 single season stolen bases, 2nd with a .439
batting average, and 2nd with 6 sacrifice flies. For his career Condotta is 1st with 723 at bat appearances, 1st with 257 career hits, 1st with 175 runs
scored, 1st with 76 stolen bases, 2nd with 32 hit by pitch, and is 5th with a career batting average of .356.

The right handed pitcher Piazza has had his best year in his short career at Florida Tech, for the 2007 season Mike put up a 7-2 overall record in 12 games
started. He finished in the top 10 of the SSC with a 3.16 ERA in 79.2 innings pitched. Mike struck out a total of 58 batters while only walking 26; he held
his opponents to a .269 batting average allowing on 84 and 28 earned runs as he earns his first honors in the SSC.

Flying under the radar but receiving recognition for his accomplishments in 2007 is sophomore third basemen Eric Trillas who received Honorable Mention
honors after batting .243 totaling 26 hits, 7 doubles, one triple, three homeruns, and has 26 RBI as he has earned his first SSC honors at Florida Tech.
