Two Panthers Finish Top 10 at SSC Championships
SAINT LEO, Fla. (Cross Country) – Florida Tech took both men’s and women’s cross country teams to Saint
Leo University on Saturday to compete in the Sunshine State Conference championships. In the men’s race, freshman Myles Garza
finished ninth with a time of 27:08. He helped propel the Panthers to a fourth place team finish. Freshman Morgan Davis came in 21st,
junior Eric Beckwith finished 24th, freshman Ethan Harrell finished 26th, senior Joseph Peterson
finished 27th, senior David Stephens finished 30th and freshman Erik Mackay finished 34th. The women also finished
fourth thanks to a seventh place performance from senior Carolyn Horst with a time of 23:33. Sophomore Jennifer Lindsay
finished 13th, sophomore Megan Pierce finished 18th, freshman Kelsey Clayton finished 26th, sophomore Nicole
Aia finished 28th, freshman Crystal Down finished 30th and freshman Cristina Mazzone finished 31st.
