Merritt Island Resident and Florida Tech Junior Completes ROTC Leaders Training Course at Fort Knox, Ky.

MELBOURNE, FLA.—John Gigante, of Merritt Island, has graduated from the ROTC Leader’s Training Course in Fort Knox, Ky. A Florida Institute of Technology rising junior, Gigante is majoring in forensic psychology. He is a 2008 graduate of Edgewood Junior-Senior High School.

Graduation marks the completion of 29 days of training where ROTC (Reserve Officers Training Corps) cadets are physically and mentally tested. The course also focuses on promoting leadership, teamwork and military values.
