MELBOURNE, FLA.—Jose Martinez-Diaz, PhD., BCBA-D, will present the CEU course, “It’s Not All About Reinforcement, Or Is It?,” Friday, March 11. The in-person presentation will be at the Florida International University (FIU) campus in Miami, Fla. Through the course, Florida Institute of Technology and ABA Technologies will provide students with an opportunity to earn three Type II CEU credits in a live class.

The presentation will provide explicit instruction through everyday examples and other heuristic techniques.

Working in the field of behavior analysis since the 1970s, he considers one of his main interests to be the role of motivating operations in behavioral assessment and treatment. He is a member of the Behavior Analyst Certification Board and an officer of their board of directors, and has received numerous awards for his contributions to the field.

The course, which costs $39, is from 1 to 4 p.m. in Room VH131, Viertes Haus, 11200 S.W. 8th Street, Miami, Fla., on the FIU campus. Registration ends March 10. For more information or to register, visit: http://www.fit.edu/bst/live.php or e-mail abaceu@fit.edu.
