United Way Donations Are Up

– Florida Tech announces that its 2005 United Way campaign donations are up nine percent over last year. Faculty and staff donated a total of $34,318.86.
This figure does not include any student fund-raising activities for the cause, or donations by Florida Tech Board of Trustees members who may name the
university as their affiliation.

The names of faculty and staff members who had increased their contribution by at least $1 a pay period over last year were entered into a drawing. In late
November, President Anthony J. Catanese drew the names of two winners of 27-inch color TV sets and of 10 faculty and staff who earned a one-day United Way
holiday, or day off.

Dr. A.T. “Tim” Hollingsworth, director of professional development, University College, and Dr. Catanese were the Florida
Tech 2005 United Way campaign co-chairs.
