Business Management Strategy Course for Six Sigma Green Belt Certification Open; Registration Ends March 7

MELBOURNE, FLA.—Those preparing to take the American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certified Six Sigma exam, or are interested in learning more about Six Sigma concepts and processes to improve organizational performance, may attend Florida Institute of Technology’s Six Sigma Green Belt exam prep course. The four-day course, on March 8-11 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day, will be held at 2202 Babcock Oaks, Suite 101 in Melbourne.

The Six Sigma Green Belt exam prep course prepares students for the ASQ Six Sigma Green Belt certification. It covers the five areas of the Six Sigma Green Belt Body of Knowledge (BOK): organization, definition, measurement, analysis, and improvement and control.

The course will be taught by Bonnie Hauge, president, CAS Adaptive Solutions, a management consulting firm; and Don Johnston, CEO, CAS Adaptive Solutions.

Hauge, a Lean Six Sigma (L6S) Master Black Belt and a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), has over 23 years experience in the aerospace industry in both quality and organizational excellence capacities. She earned her bachelor’s degree in biology from Memphis State University, a master’s in business administration from Florida Tech and a master’s degree in industrial optimization from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University.

Also a L6S Master Black Belt and a PMP, Johnston has over 20 years experience in the aerospace industry in both engineering and organizational excellence capacities within the Space Shuttle Program. He received his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a master’s degree in engineering management from Florida Tech. He has authored several papers and is a speaker and moderator at technical conferences.
