WFIT 89.5-FM Receives Brevard Cultural Alliance Grant

MELBOURNE, FLA. — Florida Tech’s WFIT 89.5-FM has received a $15,929 Brevard Cultural Alliance (BCA) Community Cultural Grant. The award will be used to
assist in operating expenses and to sponsor concerts in the community.
Brevard County provides the grant funding and county commissioners make the final decision on how much funding may be available to BCA for the grants. A
panel of arts and culture experts, noted in the county, judge the grant applications.
WFIT 89.5-FM is a National Public Radio station, serving the Space Coast and Treasure Coast communities. In 2005, WFIT became the first station in Brevard
and one of the first stations nationwide to broadcast in HD Radio™.
