WFIT Awarded Grant from Community Foundation of Brevard

– The Community Foundation of Brevard recently awarded a grant to WFIT 89.5FM, a service of Florida Tech.

WFIT presents many regularly scheduled outreach music programs in the community, from the City of Cocoa to the Palm Bay Majors Golf course. The Community
Foundation of Brevard funds will help to support these events. In addition, WFIT will present a community celebration of the station’s 30th anniversary on
May 22, 2005 on the campus of Florida Tech. Additional funding will assist in the presentation of the festivities.

In the Community Foundation of Brevard’s mission statement is the intent to improve the quality of life with grants and technical assistance to local
charities. The organization assists a wide variety of entities in Brevard County with charitable endowment funds for charitable purposes.
