Todd Kennedy Named August MVP

Todd Kennedy, director of operations at WFIT, has been named Florida Tech’s Most Valuable Panther for August.

In announcing the award, the Office of Human Resources said:

“Known as ‘The Voice’ of WFIT, Todd Kennedy has been the driving force behind our campus radio station for 25 years. Above and beyond hosting a radio show, Todd works with students and interns helping them acquire the skills and confidence they need to further their careers and build their self-esteem. He helps out faculty and staff, recording announcements and promoting events.

Todd seeks out ways to recognize talent. For example, he has worked with the Alumni Association hosting on-air concerts and interviewing Florida Tech students and alumni. Broadcast Giving Day benefits from his promotions both on the air and in social media. In addition, he continues to promote the university and its alumni through local events such as the Sonic Waves concerts.

Off duty, Todd helps promote and educate others about the environment, working with various non-profit organizations. His contributions on and off campus make Todd Kennedy a true MVP.”

The MVP program recognizes faculty and staff who embody the university’s standards for innovation as demonstrated by their excellence and quality of service. To nominate future MVPs, visit www.fit.edu/hr/forms-and-documents/most-valuable-panther-mvp-nomination-form/#form.
