Ethics Essay Contest

Two cash awards will be presented to the winners of this year’s Steven T. Freeman Ethics Essay contest sponsored by the School of Management’s Center for
Business Ethics. Purpose of the contest is to further the efforts of the center to support and participate in ethics related education opportunities and to
focus on the writing skills of School of Management (SoM) students. The contest is open to SoM freshmen, sophomores and juniors enrolled during the spring
2004 semester. Essays shall be a minimum of 2,500 words and maximum of 3,000 words and address the topic: “Benefits of Managing Ethics in the Workplace.”
The first place winner will receive $1,000.00, and the second place winner will receive $500.00. Students who would like to participate in the contest
should pick up an entry form and style guide in the SoM office; attach a copy of their essay to their entry form; and turn it in to Mrs. Jean Grunke in the
SoM NOT LATER THAN NOON ON MARCH 8.
