Business Student Wins Global Business Competition

This summer, Bisk College of Business students traveled to Calgary, Canada to compete in a global business competition with over 180 students from 40 different countries.

Business student Karlista Maroney took home the winning prize.

“To say I am elated would be an understatement! After weeks of hard work (and LOTS of fun) here in Canada, my team and I were awarded X-Culture Global Business Week Calgary 2019 Winner,” said Karlista.

Karlista is the first student from Florida Tech to win the competition. X-Culture is a non-profit organization that brings together students from around the world to work with real companies. This year, students had a chance to collaborate with Lake Louise Summer Gondola and Skibig3.

“Without the university and the College of Business’s help, I would have never been able to experience this once-in-a lifetime opportunity. I am so grateful,” said Karlista.
