Class on Career Empowerment Offered at Women’s Business Jan. 27

MELBOURNE, FLA.—The Florida Institute of Technology Women’s Business Center (WBC) will present an Empower Your Career seminar Jan. 27 from 6 to 8 p.m. The class will be held in the Link Building, Room 323, on campus. The cost is $25 per person.

The seminar will present 12 key topics, such as learning how to research for jobs, the importance of a good resume and cover letter, and interview preparation – how it’s more than just how to update a resumé or fill out a job application. Participants will learn how to prepare themselves for a job search while staying positive, prepared and organized.

Michele Black of Pen&Ink LLC will be the presenter. Black attended Rutgers University, where she majored in journalism and German translation. Her passion for writing and desire to provide superior customer service led her to continue her writing education and start her own company. She is the author of the Trinity Mystery Series.
