Congressman Posey to Host Entrepreneur Summit at Florida Tech May 17

MELBOURNE, FLA.—Congressman Bill Posey (R-Rockledge) will host an Entrepreneur Summit at Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne on May 17 from 8 a.m. to noon. This is part of his continuing effort to gather together entrepreneurs from across the 15th Congressional District and showcase their innovative technologies to the public and potential investors.

The Entrepreneur Summit will take place at Florida Tech’s Denius Student Center second-floor Hartley Room.

This summit will be Posey’s third forum for local area entrepreneurs in Brevard County and his fourth entrepreneur summit overall. An Osceola County Entrepreneur Summit was held on April 27 in Kissimmee.

“These forums allow entrepreneurs to showcase their new products and innovative technologies to the public and potential investors,” said Posey.

The agenda includes a keynote address by Posey and presentations by eight companies. Carol Craig, President/CEO, Craig Technologies, will be a guest speaker. Other speakers will be from Florida Venture Forum, Melbourne Regional Chamber of Commerce, Greater Palm Bay Chamber of Commerce and the Cocoa Beach Area Chamber of Commerce. Networking and a continental breakfast begins at 8 a.m. The program begins at 9 a.m.

Posey is coordinating with the following organizations to present the Space Coast Entrepreneur Summit: Women’s Business Center at Florida Tech, TRDA, Brevard Workforce, Economic Development Commission of Florida’s Space Coast, Small Business Development Center at Brevard Community College and Space Florida.
