Erica Lemp Named Executive Director of weVENTURE

Florida Tech-Based Organization Welcomes
Former CareerSource Brevard Manager

MELBOURNE, FLA. — Erica Lemp is the new executive director of weVENTURE, a Central Florida-based organization launched at Florida Institute of Technology and focused on accelerating sustainable business growth for entrepreneurs.

Lemp, who started in mid-October, comes to weVENTURE after serving as CareerSource Brevard’s community resources manager for the past two years and program planning officer for four years. Prior to her time at CareerSource, Lemp was LEAD Brevard’s senior director of programs and events, and was with the organization for six years overall.

In addition to her professional experience, Lemp has served on many boards, including, Brevard Schools Foundation and Family Promise of Brevard, and as United Way’s Emerging Leaders chair.

Lemp has also been a long-time supporter of weVENTURE, participating in the organization’s IGNITE 360Ò Business Mentoring Program as a mentor and facilitator.

Lemp succeeds Beth Gitlin, who left the organization in late September to fulfill educational pursuits. She led weVENTURE for more than four years and helped grow business its mentoring programs significantly.
