Hip Chicks of Brevard Awards Florida Tech Womens Business Center $500 for Scholarship

MELBOURNE, FLA.—The Florida Institute of Technology Women’s Business Center (WBC) recently received $500 from The Hip Chicks of Brevard to provide scholarships to assist people taking WBC courses. The organization raised the money through one of its speed networking events, which was held recently at the Rockledge Country Club and attended by about 80 women.

Applicants may use the scholarship to take classes offered by the WBC such as Quickbooks, Word or Excel in order to upgrade their skills.

Hip Chicks is a not-for profit organization for women in business. Its goal is to promote women’s businesses through networking , support and education. In addition, the corporation gives back to the local community by contributing time and funds to support women’s causes.
