Kathryn Rudloff to Lead Florida Tech’s weVENTURE
MELBOURNE, FLA. — Kathryn Rudloff is the new executive director of weVENTURE, the award-winning women’s business center at Florida Tech’s Bisk College of Business.
Funded in part by the U.S. Small Business Administration, weVENTURE is focused on accelerating sustainable business growth for entrepreneurs in Brevard, St. Lucie and Indian River counties.
“Ms. Rudloff has extensive experience in the community and with political organizations as an advocate for women and children,” said College of Business Dean Ted Richardson. “Her ability to work with the local business community as well as her extensive experience fundraising will enhance the weVENTURE mission to empower female entrepreneurs.”
Rudloff comes to weVENTURE after serving as executive director of Business Voice Political Committee for the past four years. Prior to that she served in various strategic communications, fundraising and management roles for political campaigns at the local, state and federal levels, including a presidential campaign in 2007.
In addition to her professional experience, Rudloff has served on many boards and volunteered within the community, including leadership roles with The Haven for Children, MOPS ministry, the Junior League of South Brevard and Family Promise of Brevard ministry. She was recognized by LEAD Brevard in 2017 as a “4 under 40” award recipient.
Rudloff has also been a long-time supporter of weVENTURE, participating as a speaker for the annual IMPACT summit, the ATHENA NextGen program and the Strong Coffee Strong Women series and authoring numerous EDGE columns.
“We are thrilled to have Kathryn join the weVENTURE team,” said weVENTURE Board Chair Kelly Swartz. “I am confident her passion for advocacy will allow the organization to continue to grow and expand.”
“I am honored to work with the distinguished faculty and staff at the College of Business as we support aspiring entrepreneurs,” Rudloff said.
Rudloff succeeds Erica Lemp, who left the organization in September to join L3Harris as community affairs director. Lemp led weVENTURE for three years and helped expand the organization’s presence and impact in the community through the growth of its signature events and programs.
