Learn about Patents and Patenting at Florida Tech Workshop
– Florida Tech’s TechStart will hold a four-session workshop on patents and patenting on four consecutive Thursdays, starting Oct. 27. Each session meets
from 5:15 to 7:30 p.m., on campus in the Crawford Tower, Room 404. A fee of $125 signs up participants for all four sessions.
Covered patenting topics include: Oct. 27 – The Patenting Process; Nov. 3 – Reading and Understanding Patent Publications; Nov. 10 – Drafting Patent
Applications; and Nov. 17 – Interactive IP Search Skills, Hands-on in the Computer Lab and Getting Familiar with www.USPTO.gov.
The computer lab experience facilitates searches on the United States Patent Office Website and other searches pertinent to individual needs.
The first three sessions will be led by Dr. Carl Napolitano, a licensed patent agent with Allen, Dyer, Doppelt, Milbrath & Gilchrist, P.A. in Orlando.
