Jazz in the Panthereum Features Linda Peterson

MELBOURNE, FLA. — WFIT-89.5 FM, a service of Florida Tech, and the city of Melbourne present Jazz in the Panthereum on Sunday, Sept. 28, from 3 to 6 pm. This
free event features vocalist and keyboardist Linda Peterson with a trio. Audience musicians are invited to join the group after the second set.

Peterson, a member of the renowned musical family The Petersons, the Twin Cities’ first family of jazz, has been compared to Diana Krall, June Christie and
Julie London. She has delighted audiences internationally for more then 20 years with her unique piano playing and vocal styling.

Chan Parker, widow of jazz artist Charlie Parker, says that “Peterson has an innate jazz feel, impeccable pitch, excellent choice of material, her own
unique sound and the best musicians to accompany her.”

Currently, Peterson makes her home in Cathedral City, Calif., but has a condominium in Florida. She says she “must visit and regroup during the year.” She
currently performs and is recording her fourth CD in Argentina, which will have many original songs.

Bring lawn chairs, blankets and your family to this free event. For more information, call WFIT radio or Sandi at (321) 749-9700.
